On this day, January 15th in 1967, Vince Lombardi coached the Green Bay Packers to the first NFL Super Bowl. The Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs with a score of 35-10.[1]
Prior to Lombardi’s coaching, the Packers had one of the worst team records in the NFL with a dismal 1-10-1 just before he arrived. Within two seasons, he was able to coach the Packers to a championship in 1961. [2]
Read more about how Lombardi was able to rebuild the Packers to success and what church leaders can learn about rebuilding the churches they lead from the Book of Ezra here. This blog was written in April 2021 and it is still just as applicable today as churches face a precarious start to 2022.
